Green House

Up the street a ways from the brown house on the corner is this beauty. You will note that it is the same basic design as the brown house in a previous post. These houses were built by the plantation/mill owners for the employees. I believe, but I am not sure that these houses were moved here from one of the housing camps, perhaps after the mill closed.

Ernie,

I think this series of houses has real potential. The possibility that they were moved from former company locations is fascinating. Can you interview people to get more material on this? It could be an excellent project. As you know I have a terminal failing for going after "project" subject matter rather than individual pictures, but this one looks really good.

Thanks Carl. I intend to stay at this "project" for a while. I am getting
to know some folks in Pahala that I think will steer me in the right direction.
I must get back and find "Frank" He can get me started. As you will see
from today's post this series of houses are or were identical in design. Over
the years some have been added on to. I am really having fun with this. Thanks for
your encouragement
